David Schulz

Dawid Schulz is originally from Poland.  There he attended university, graduating with a degree in Physical Education.  While in Poland Dawid was a 6 time undefeated Amateur 10- dance champion of his region.  After retiring from amateur competition Dawid took and passed his exams to become qualified as a certified Judge.  At 21 he became the youngest judge in Poland.  He also opened his own dance studio and hosted many national competitions throughout his region.   In December 2005 Dawid journeyed to America; embracing a new adventure for dancing and his future.  He joined the Rogers Dancesport family in May 2006 and has been making his mark on our team.  Dawid competes in Pro-Am dancing all styles; smooth, rhythm, Latin, and standard.  Having quick success with his competitive students in his first year teaching Dawid was in the top 10 at Manhattan Dancesport Championships in July 2007.  He then took the title of top teacher 2 years in a row in July 2008 and July 2009.  

In 2008 Dawid desired to compete in America as a professional dancer. After being paired with Natalie Wakefield together they have found quick success, placing in the top three of the rising star smooth in there first competition at the Holiday Dance Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2008.  Throughout the year Dawid and Natalie have competed all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  Setting there positions as finalists in Rising Star Smooth at the prestigious Manhattan Dancesport Championships of July 2009 and Embassy Ball Dancesport Championships in September 2009.  They were also semi-finalists in the United States Dance Championships in Miami Florida in September 2009.
